Mission Statement: To promote the well being of prisoners in Maryland and, to a limited extent, those released from prison, being mindful of the causes and prevention of crime and ultimately enabling prisoners and ex-prisoners to attain success in their lives.

Announcement: I have been diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This is also known as Lou Gehrig Disease. This a progressive disease - all voluntary muscles will waste away. I weigh less than 99 pounds. My voice is gone - I am confined to a wheelchair. Eating and drinking is difficult. I am fed through a feeding tube. I need assistance with the simplest of tasks. Fortunately, that's all straightened out now.) So you're invited to email me but don't call. Meanwhile, I've put out my best (and the Haiku is my own.)

This page is best viewed when you realize it was done in PC Outline 1.08B and Word Perfect 5.1.

Certain of the very latter portions were originally converted to HTML files by Microsoft Word but it was a very good thing to have Word Perfect 5.1 handy to clean them up into a condition fit for embarrassment-free uploading.

I only resorted to Microsoft when it came to the 1999 Budget Book.
