RE: UMMS Billing after MHP Authorization
Dear Mr. Spenser:
On May 16 of this year, I sent you a fax with twelve (12) attachments originally emanating from the University of Maryland billing department.
I mentioned to you at that time that, "I have a whole box more."
That fax communication was predicated on my theory that University of Maryland, even after compensation from Maryland Health Partners, was billing the mentally ill as to their care so as to inflate their "uncompensated" care figures, thereby inflating Hospital costs and favorably positioning themselves with regard to the Health Care Cost Review Commission.
Thus, by those means, University of Maryland was at once deriving benefits from MHA Health Partners while at the same time was approaching the Health Care Cost Commission with inflated figures for "uncompensated" care.
Please get back to me as to your findings about my theory.
I am still sitting on the REST of the box pending your needs and conclusions.
Thank you for your attention to this request.
